A medium-bodied red from the Bourdeaux region of France. Pairs well with roast pork dishes.
Château de Sours Bordeaux has juicy blackcurrant and raspberry flavours, velvety tannins, hints of tannins, along with vanilla and leather.
It originally dates back to the 14th century, when it was served as an inn on the pilgrims route to Santiago de Compostella in north west Spain.
The vines in the yard are hand tended from winter pruning through to picking. Excess bunches of the leaves are then cut off when the vines are just developing. This allows the remaining bunches to ripen fully, ensuring quality of the harvested grapes.
Château de Sours Bordeaux pairs well with roast pork dishes, or saddle of lamb with aubergine.
