Our reputation for the extraordinary is characterised by the exceptional oak casks for which The Macallan is renowned. Sourced, crafted, toasted and seasoned under the watchful eye of The Macallan Master of Wood, the hand-picked casks are delivered to the demanding specifications of The Macallan Master Distiller. Once filled, the maturing spirit remains undisturbed in the same cask for a full fifteen years. It is the oak that makes the greatest contribution to the quality, natural colour and distinctive aromas and flavours at the heart of this single malt whisky.

It is a uniquely complex combination of oak casks that delivers the extraordinarily smooth and delicate character of the Macallan Triple Casks Matured 15 years old. A trinity of spirits, matured individually in sherry seasoned European oak casks, sherry seasoned American oak casks and ex-bourbon American oak casks and then exquisitely and expertly married together to create a sublime single malt with vibrant orange and chocolate flavours.
